DESIGN-BUILD

If you're looking for a project partner to take the lead from start to finish, we offer complete project management and turn-key product delivery.  We will dedicate a team of experts from designers and CAD specialists to service technicians and engineers from multiple disciplines, keeping you informed, hitting benchmarks on time, surpassing industry standards, and minding the budget.  We are a full-service solutions partner.

System integration, Software,
and network systems implementation

Our team of engineers, programmers, and service technicians provide our clients with the software development and support services required in today's high-tech business environment.

Based on the requirements of the project and needs of the end-user, we can design, develop, and deploy both small and large scale control and business networks. From a single, stand-alone system such as a pump station with an operator interface up to a large, full-scale networked system consisting of PC-based servers, managed network devices, firewalls, and fiber optic communication, we have the staff and expertise to implement and maintain those systems.

Our staff is uniquely qualified with expertise in the following areas:

  • Hardware & Software Dialers

  • HMI Programming

  • Instrumentation Networks

  • Managed  Network Switches

  • Media & Protocol Converters

  • Mobile Devices

  • Motor Control Centers

  • Network Appliances

  • Operator Interface Terminals (OITs)

  • PC Workstations

  • PLC Programming

  • Software Reporting

  • Thin Clients
  • Windows-based Servers

INSTRUMENTATION & PROCESS CONTROL

Keeping facilities operating at peak efficiency requires sophisticated instrumentation and state-of-the-art control systems installed, commissioned and maintained by our highly-trained and experienced staff.

Whether the project is a retrofit/replacement or a greenfield project, IPS can provide instrumentation and process control solutions to meet client needs while saving energy and reducing operational manpower.  We can also provide long-term services to perform periodic maintenance such as device calibrations, Input/Output (I/O) verification, and optimization of control loops.  While the following areas highlight the most common and frequent equipment and systems we typically encounter, IPS has experience with many other systems and devices.  We would be happy to talk with you about your specific project needs.

Instrumentation
  • Flow Measurement (air, gas, water, sludge)

  • Level Sensing (pressure, ultrasonic, radar)

  • Analytical Instrumentation (air, gas, chemical)
  • Temperature Measurement
  • Devices for Hazardous Locations
Process Control
  • Hard-wired Relay Logic

  • Motor Controllers

  • PLC-based Controls

  • PC-based Software Programming
  • Intrinsically Safe Systems

COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS

A robust and reliable control system depends on a trustworthy communication system.  Our communication specialists have the talent and skills necessary to assess a variety of options for your project, including cost analysis and installation considerations with a long-term vision.

Our staff works with clients to find the right communication system for the project.  From conception to implementation, we analyze available options, provide software-simulated path studies, and confirm the path study findings with on-site testing.  Based on conclusions, we recommend the most reliable and cost-effective communication technology and equipment for the system.

These are some of the key areas in which IPS has worked to provide successful communication systems:

  • Cellular

  • Dedicated Fiber Optic

  • FAA Coordination

  • FCC Licensing Application & Coordination

  • Hybrid (Cellular & Satellite)

  • ISP-based (cable, DSL, T1)

  • Privately-owned Antenna Towers (for un/licensed radios)

  • Repeaters

MOTOR CONTROL & POWER DISTRIBUTION

As a full-service electrical construction and integration firm, IPS can provide a complete electrical system from the electrical facility service entrance of a facility down to the network jacks that connect PC's to the control system, including the associated power distribution equipment and motor-starting and control devices.

Our staff also has extensive experience in back-up power systems that will keep critical infrastructure running during times of utility outages or catastrophic events.  Once installed, IPS can provide services to promote the safe operation and maintenance of equipment by completing as-needed electrical studies and providing equipment labels to identify the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) recommended when servicing that equipment.

IPS's extensive experience in motor controls and power distribution include the following:

  • Low-voltage Switchboards & Switchgear

  • Motor Control Centers
  • Motor Control Panels
  • Solid-state Reduced-voltage Motor Controllers

  • Short-circuit, Coordination & Arc-flash Studies
